Shutterbug 855/4/2023 Both the HGLRC & the Larva HD ducts are the full 2½" size too, and have a set of the HGLRC 2½" on a Primo 3 frame & BH 1402s. The standard prop sizes, 2" - 2½" fit the Beta frames, but on both, I had to put in "spacers", used Gnarly's gel pads from their Picks, to bump the motors up a touch because the props were clipping the struts/braces going up to the ring at the top of the duct. It would work, but would be the "toilet tank" setup with the battery side to side, and hanging down well below the battery cage. I also have two URUAV 85 frames in their box because I couldn't find a battery I have that fits it's bay either, and the plastic "frame" for the bay runs opposite what I'd need to use a strap. I got an ET 125 kit, mainly for the guards/ducts, and is still sitting in it's box. The ducts are great, and easily the strongest I've seen, but severely limits the props you can use with those oddball sizes. ![]() Don't know about the ET100, but the 115 & 125 have 2.3" props & 2.8" props. Your KK/LDARC I thought was a ductless version (kind of) of their ET 125. ![]() So the original issue might be with KingKong building props in non-standard sizes. What both quads have in common is the prop design, apart from the size difference the props have identical design! Looks like a rather old KingKong/LDARC design to me. The HD140 would easily run proper 3inch props if I removed the protectors. Interestingly, I have another quad (LDARC HD140) with a very similar propblem - that is *almost* a 3 inch quad, as the UR85 apparently is *almost* a 2inch quad. frame is surprisingly durable!) In those alternative frames - one iflight, the other Geelang, the prop protectors are proper 2 inch. And the holder has broken in the meantime, mostly from pressing in alternative batteries (otherwise, the orig. UR85 frame fits no batteries except the original URUAV ones, which I cannot order where I live. Luckily, I did what you did and also ordered alternative frames, because the silly battery holder on the orig. Surprise: they don't quite fit into the original UR85 frame - slightly touching the inner rim of the whoops/protectors! Okay, so yesterday the Avan Blur 2 inch arrived. Haven't tried that yet, no time and rotten weather. But then, I only recently noticed that I should have been charging the 3S batt to HV. I've been running it on 2S for a dozen flights or so, btw, (for lack of 3S batteries until two days ago) and that is of course pretty docile compared to 3S (good for me), but totally flyable, and gives longer flight times than the stock 3S batt. ![]() ![]() Still flies great by my standards, without me knowing much about tuning and flying it near BF 4.2 defaults. Motors came down quite warm or almost hot with the original BF 4.1 setup on the UR85, and are not at all hot after installing JESC and using RPM filtering with BF 4.2. Regarding JESC, I noticed the same thing. Thanks a lot, I'll give the Avan Blur a try then! That also seems to bump up flight times on every quad I've put it on by ½ a minute and more, so between the cooler temps and more air time, it's been a really good thing for me. I've upgraded all of my 85s ESCs with the JESC 48kHz, and even my 1102/13,500kvs on 2S come down cool & the batteries too. I like them a lot better than the 2" Avan 4 blades like the Beta 85s have and the Azure 3 blades. They are a fairly light pitch prop, but are rather wide and probably have more surface area than a lot of 4 blades. Air time is one of my highest priorities, and I have a couple different 85 Whoop setups, and generally, I've got the best flight times with really good performance & top speed with the 2" Avan Blurs.
